The West Seattle Senior Center is a fixture of place and history occupying a predominate corner of the Junction District business neighborhood.

This endeavor is in focus to provide a beautiful, more efficient, and more multi-functional, full service facility for today’s and tomorrow’s seniors. Full utility system upgrades to provide optimum life cycle cost, complete building accessibility throughout, and maximizing space use through flexible design are major goals.

This renovation reaches beyond the confines of the Center to the neighborhood and the community as well. It will be the first project implemented under the West Seattle Junction District Design Guidelines recently adopted by the City of Seattle. It is viewed by all as a precedent setting opportunity to provide a cornerstone project for future development in the most urban pedestrian environment in West Seattle.
